To attend this session, registrants must meet in the Conference Lounge: Provinces & Confederation I Kreitmaker Experiential Learning Dispatch Hub + Foyer of the Westin Ottawa Hotel

Explore Zibi Common, part of Canada’s largest carbon-neutral community, through an exclusive guided tour led by architects from Kohn Partnership Architects and Teeple Architects. This session offers an in-depth exploration of how design and sustainability intersect in real-world applications, highlighting the project's unique heritage preservation, innovative energy systems, co-living spaces, and community-focused housing models that foster well-being and environmental responsibility.

Attendees are encouraged to also register for the on-site presentation Designing Resilient Communities: Lessons from Zibi Common, at 8:30 am on Friday, May 16.

This session is Level 3 (Moderately Active). Dress for weather conditions and wear comfortable footwear and clothing (including a hat for sun protection). Consider bringing a refillable water bottle, high-SPF sunscreen and sunglasses, and your camera.

Please note: Participants will gather and depart from the Kreitmaker Experiential Learning Dispatch Hub located in the Conference Lounge.
