Designing the High Heritage Spaces of Centre Block

The Centre Block project is one of the largest rehabilitation projects in the world today. The building encompasses approximately 50 richly decorated interior heritage spaces, notably featuring the House of Commons and the Senate Chamber. This presentation highlights the design tools the consulting team has developed to seamlessly incorporate the program requirements, while maintaining the heritage values and the character-defining elements of the most important interior spaces in Canada.

2. Understand how technology can powerfully support the design in heritage context.
3. Explore how to use design tools to manage competing requirements.
