Collaboration in Action: Making Home at 97 Victoria
5/14/2026|EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING|STRUCTURED
3.50 ConEd Learning Hours
2:00p.m.-5:30p.m.
Making Home at 97 Victoria, in Kitchener, was realized through rare collaboration between a non-profit owner, private developer, and Architect. This panel unpacks how partnership across sectors delivered an adaptive reuse campus of care with 44 housing units, community services, and a net-zero targeted mass timber kitchen. Speakers will share lessons on governance, funding, design, and delivery—demonstrating how collaborative models can address housing, climate, and community needs.
This experiential session unfolds as a guided bus tour through Kitchener; tracing the work of The Working Centre, Perimeter Development, and BNKC. Participants will visit the Bricker Block, Google’s Kitchener headquarters, and the Walper Hotel, ending with a tour and discussion at 97 Victoria.

1. Discover how non-profit, developer, and Architect aligned on goals.
2. Examine governance structures that enabled fast, effective delivery.
