Lazaridis Hall at Wilfred Laurier University is a campus landmark designed for academic collaboration and connection with the community. This  session explores how collaboration across disciplines and design teams led to a LEED Gold facility with advanced sustainable systems, flexible learning environments, and a civic presence that supports equity, accessibility, and innovation in higher education, while supporting the demands of the region’s growing technology focus.

Learning Objectives
1. Learn how academic spaces can promote collaborative research.
2. Understand how architecture can foster innovation in education.
3. Examine how material and spatial decisions enhance user well-being.
4. Learn how collaboration
shaped the design and program.
