Adaptive reuse is moving from niche to mainstream as cities tackle vacancy and housing shortages. This session looks at lessons from Calgary’s recent conversions, including The Loft, to show how Architects can navigate design and code challenges, choose the right delivery approach, manage risks, and provide functional housing—while advancing climate goals and community revitalization.
