Eli's Place: Canada's First Therapeutic Healing Farm
5/14/2026|CONTINUING EDUCATION|STRUCTURED
1.50 ConEd Learning Hours
2:00p.m.-3:30p.m.
At a time of great change, young adults facing the onset of mental illness are often alone, without the familiar support systems of family and school. What’s more, as Canada lacks long-term residential treatment and recovery programs for young adults with serious mental illness, the challenges can result in a ripple effect of crises. To address this gap in healthcare, Gensler’s Healthcare Practice Area Leader will highlight Eli’s Place, which is poised to be Canada’s first ever healing farm.
Learning Objectives
1. Highlight the challenge facing young Canadians with mental health challenges.
2. Explore existing facilities on which Eli’s Place is modelled (Kerry’s Place/Gould Farm).
3. Demonstrate how Eli’s Place will address this challenge
4. Discuss impact Eli’s Place will have on healthcare system +
patients
