Exploring two unique Ottawa child care projects.  Forest Explorers Outdoor Early Learning Centre in the Ottawa greenbelt serves as a demonstration site for utdoor play practice, research, and policy.  This innovative centre provides 73 licensed childcare spaces with the goal of spending more than 50% of their day outdoors in nature. Perley Childcare will be fully integrated into the Perley Health long-term care home, providing intergenerational experiences benefitting both seniors and children.

Learning Objectives:

1. Explore unique childcare models.
2. Creation and implementation of a sustainability plan.
3. Universal design and accessibility in a multi-generational setting.
4. Leading a successful design process with multiple stakeholders.
