8:30p.m.-11:00p.m.

After the Celebration of Excellence, immerse yourself in the Archifête party, sponsored by WD Craftline. The semi-formal event includes food stations, drinks, and the opportunity to mingle among peers and celebrate the winning projects and recipients. It is hosted at Tapestry Hall in Cambridge, designed by Martin Simmons Sweers Architects (MSSA) as part of the redevelopment of the Gaslight District—the Waterloo Region’s largest public square.

Entering the Grand Hall is a truly majestic experience—from its oversized three-tonne glass entry doors to a soaring cathedral-like central space featuring high stained wood ceilings and an impressive steel framework of beams. As you explore the space, check out its signature "living architecture" sculpture, Meander, which was created by Philip Beesley, renowned artist and lecturer at the Cambridge School of Architecture. Inspired by the flow of the Grand River, the installation shifts and responds depending on your location, creating a mesmerizing experience. Philip will also be available throughout the evening to conduct tours and tell the story of his work.
