From Gensler’s work in analyzing more than 1,500 buildings in 123 cities across North America, we know that office-to-residential (O2R) conversions can have a meaningful impact on Canada’s housing crisis and office vacancy challenges. It is also a much more sustainable solution than new build construction. To explore the topic, this presentation showcases the firm's O2R algorithm, highlights three successful projects, and shares policy/incentive recommendations for the road ahead.
